Pimlico Race Course is undergoing a major redevelopment and will be closed for construction. Laurel Park will serve as the temporary home for Preakness 151 while Pimlico is being rebuilt. The Preakness Stakes will return to Pimlico in 2027.
The Preakness Stakes is a historic American thoroughbred horse race held on the third Saturday in May each year at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland. The Maryland Jockey Club wants all our guests to enjoy a great day at the racetrack while remaining safe. Our staff are TIPS/TAM server trained.
Guests under 30 years old will be required to show a valid photo ID to their server. No one will be served alcohol if they appear to be intoxicated.
Staff will notify Security to offer a taxi or ride share to anyone who appears to be intoxicated and attempting to drive home.

Cell phone cameras are permitted on Maryland Jockey Club property, however cameras with long lenses are prohibited without prior permission and credentials from the Maryland Jockey Club.
Our first aid location provides a space for guests with special needs who may need to escape the elements during the event.

Behavior Standards
Service Dogs must be well-behaved. Uncontrolled excitement, barking, lunging, or disruptive conduct may result in removal.

Service Dogs must not interfere with other guests. Owners may not construct barriers or enclosures.
Enforcement
Laurel Park staff reserves the right to address non-compliance and request removal of any Service Dog not meeting policy requirements.
Laurel Park is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas outside the Clubhouse entrance ramp, outside the Paddock area, or on the apron.
This policy applies to e-cigarettes and alternative smoking products. Guests who fail to comply will be ejected from the venue.
