Alcoholic beverages (including beer and wine) will NOT be allowed to be brought into the Grandstand or Clubhouse facility on Black-Eyed Susan and Preakness Day.

1) When do tickets go on sale?

          
  a. Tickets are on sale now. 

2) How can I purchase Preakness and BESD tickets?

            a. Call the Preakness Ticket Sales office at 410-542-9400 or
                 1-877-206-8042 x300  (9am-5pm Mon.-Sat., & daily beginning
                 May 1, 2008).  After 5:00pm please call 410-542-9400 x4484
                 and leave a message.  Your order will be placed and/ or your
                 question answered the following business day.
                 

            b.  Tickets may be purchased online through ticketmaster.com
                 or by calling:

5) Is parking available?

            a. Yes, parking is available for purchase through the Preakness
                Ticket Sales office ,Ticketmaster.com or Ticketmaster phone
                 charge by calling:

                        iii. 703-573-SEAT in Virginia

            b. For handicapped parking please call the Preakness  Ticket
                Sales office at 410-542-9400 or 1-877-206-8042 x300 (9am- 
                5pm Mon.-Sat, & daily beginning May 1, 2008).

6) Are taxis available after Preakness and where? 

            a. Yes, stage located on the Westside of Pimlico Road (off Northern
                Parkway). Stage location is subject to change, please check
                 
www.preakness.com for updates.

7) Will the MTA provide transportation for the Preakness?

            a. MTA packet will be included with purchased tickets or you may call
                1-866-RIDE-MTA or visit
www.mtamaryland.com.

            b. Public Transportation:

8) Is it safe to buy tickets on-line?

            a. The only authorized seller for Preakness and BESD tickets online
                 is Ticketmaster. There are many websites that may look legitimate
                 but they are not affiliated in any way with Preakness and the
                 Maryland Jockey Club.

9) How many tickets can I buy at once?

            a. unlimited

10) Are there any places I can go in person to purchase tickets?

            a. Yes, you can purchase tickets at Pimlico Race Course. Select BP
                 gas stations will offer Infield tickets beginning May 1, 2008. A portion of
                 the ticket sale proceeds
                 from the BP sales support the Johns Hopkins Children Center.  Close to
                 $750,000.00 dollars has been donated since its inception in 1989.

11)  How do I purchase through Ticketmaster?

            a. No

13) When does the Post-Position Draw for the 133rd Preakness

14) Can I be placed on your mailing/emailing list?

15) Are any tickets sold the day of the event?

            a. Yes, Infield tickets only. Ticket booths are located at
                Rogers Ave & Pimlico Road (Preakness Way Parking Lot).

16) I would like to purchase the same seat as last year, how can
        I do so?


            a. Reservations for returning guests who wish to purchase their same
                2007 seating tickets must be received by December 1, 2007.

17) Is there a place to pick up tickets the day of the event?

            a. Yes, we have two Will Call windows, one at the Clubhouse and one in the
                area between the Grandstand and the Clubhouse entrance.
                No Infield pickups.

18) What is the earliest time I can get into Pimlico?

            a. Gates open at 8:00 am for the Infield, Top of the Stretch and the Facility;
                10:00am for the Village, Turfside Terrace and Clubhouse Turn Reserved.

19) I lost my ticket, is there anything that can be done?

            a. Please call the Preakness Sales office: (410) 542-9400
                 or 1 (877) 206-8042 x300

20) Are there any other activities I can attend prior to
        the Preakness?


            a. Yes, you can take a tour of the facility including the Preakness
                 Stakes Barn and watch the morning workouts in the three
                 days prior to the Preakness. Please call 410-542-9400 and
                 inquire about our popular Sunrise at Old Hilltop.

            b. In Addition, Preakness Celebration, Inc. (
www.preaknesscelebration.com)
                 hosts a week long festival including a parade, fireworks and outdoor
                 concerts.

21)   Will Vegetarian/Kosher meals be provided in the
            Turfside Terrace?


            a. Please log onto www.Preakness.com and see the Turfside Terrace
                 menu or call the Preakness Sales office at (410) 542-9400 
                 or 1 (877) 206-8042 x300.

22) What items are not allowed into Clubhouse Turn/Turfside
         Terrace?

            a. Outside food or beverages
            b. Coolers
            c. Backpacks
            d. Thermoses
            e. Glass containers of any kind
            f.  Handcarts or wheeled carts
            g. Liquor or drugs of any kind
            h. Kegs of beer of any kind
            i.  Bulk or oversized carrying devices
            j.  Weapons of any kind.

23) What items can I bring/are not allowed into
         Top of the Stretch?


            a. No: 
                        i. Bulk or oversized carrying devices – coolers larger than 12’x12’ 
                        ii. Liquor, Drugs or Weapons of any kind
                        iii. Tents 
                        iv. Hibachis or Barbecues
                        v. Ladders, scaffolding or other raised devices
                        vi. kegs of beer, including keg balls
                        vii. non-folding or folding metal furniture (please see picture
                              of acceptable chairs)
                        viii. handcarts or wheeled carts
                        ix. Glass containers of any kind

            b. Yes:
                        i. Picnic lunch, beer, wine & soda – individually carried in plastic  
                          containers no larger than 12”x12”, or regular sized cans 
                        ii. Suntan lotion

24) What items can I bring/are not allowed in the Infield?

            a. No:
                        i.   Bulk or oversized carrying devices – coolers larger
                              than 28”x15” x 17”
                        ii.  Liquor, Drugs or Weapons of any kind
                        iii. Tents 
                        iv.  Hibachis or Barbecues
                        v.   Ladders, scaffolding or other raised devices
                        vi.  Kegs of beer, including keg balls
                        vii.  Non-folding or folding metal furniture (please see picture
                              of acceptable chairs)
                        viii. Handcarts or wheeled carts
                        ix.  Glass containers of any kind

            b. Yes:
                        i. Beer, wine & soda – individually carried in plastic containers or  
                           regular sized cans 
                        ii. Picnic Lunches
                        iii. Lightweight, plastic lawn chairs
                        iv. Beach blankets & suntan lotion

25) What do I do if my medication needs to be kept cool?

            a. Visit the First Aid station located on the 1st floor of the Grandstand.

26) Can I go into the Grandstand if I have an infield ticket?

            a. Not unless you pay a $25.00 general admission fee.

27) How do I get to Pimlico Race Course?

                 a. 95 North:
                                  I 95 N to 695 W, Take exit 18 Lochearn (Liberty Road),
                                  Go down 7 traffic lights and make a Left turn on Northern ,
                                  Parkway make a Right on Park Heights Ave, follow
                                  signs for parking

                 b. New York/Philadelphia/New Jersey/Delaware/Northern
                     Baltimore County:

                                  I 95 S to 695 W, take 695 W to 83 S, take 83 S to Northern
                                   Parkway West and follow signs for parking.

                 c. Inner Harbor:

                                  I 83 N to Northern Parkway West and follow signs for parking

                 d. Frederick:

                                 I70 E to 695 W (follow directions for 695 W from 95N)

                 e. Harrisburg:

                                I83 S to 695 W (stay on this for a short while before getting back
                                on 83 S), take Northern Parkway West and follow signs 
                                for parking.

28) Can I re-enter Pimlico after leaving?

                 a. There will be no re-entry into the Grandstand/Clubhouse facility,
                      or Infield

29) How old do you have to be to bet?

                 a. 18 years of age

30) Are ATM Machines available?

                 a. Yes, throughout the facility and outside seating locations

31) I’ve lost someone/something, where do I go?

                 a. Report to the security office – 1st floor Grandstand
