2022 TICKET RENEWALS AND RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL

Traditionally, the Maryland Jockey Club extends the opportunity to all ticket purchasers that purchased tickets from our official sources the opportunity to renew the same seats they had purchased for the previous event for the next rendition of the event.  The Maryland Jockey Club will NOT be offering that option to 2021 ticket holders for the 2022 event.  The next Preakness event we host without seating and capacity restrictions, we are anticipating reverting to our pre-pandemic seating manifest.  Once we can host the Preakness and Black-Eyed Susan events at full capacity, we will revert our ticket renewal and right of first Refusal process to the last event we hosted without capacity restrictions.  If you opted for the refund option for 2020 event(s), you will get the first right of refusal on tickets that your purchased to the 2019 event.

The following examples assume the 2022 event will be hosted at full capacity with an unchanged seating manifest:

Example A:

If you purchased 8 tickets in 2020 and opted for a refund and did not attend the 2021 event, you will get the first right of refusal on the 8 tickets you originally purchased in 2020 for 2022 at the 2022 ticket prices.

Example B:

If you purchased 8 tickets in 2020 and deferred them to the 2021 event, you will get the first right of refusal on the 8 tickets you originally purchased in 2020 for 2022 at the 2022 ticket prices.

Please note, this Right of First Refusal policy is valid ONLY if the seating manifest remains unchanged from our previous Preakness or Black-Eyed Susan event hosted without seating restrictions.

The Maryland Jockey Club Reserved the right to change this policy at any time.

NOT PERMITTED:

Alcohol or Drugs of any kind-Weapons of any kind-Backpacks-Thermoses or Coolers-Glass containers of any type-Bulk or oversized carrying devices-No Smoking except in designated areas.

Management reserves the right to change these policies without notice and to determine appropriate attire or items permitted on the premises.
