2020 Preakness Stakes Ticket Policy

September 2nd, 2020

Existing Ticket Holders of 2020 Preakness Stakes and Black-Eyed Susan Tickets

If you purchased tickets direct from the Maryland Jockey Club or from their official ticketing partner, Eventbrite:

With the announcement the 2020 Preakness Stakes day and Black-Eyed Susan day will be held without fans in attendance on October 3rd, 2020, all tickets and parking passes purchased for 2020 Preakness day, Black-Eyed Susan day have been made void.  Account holders that own voided tickets will have the total value of voided tickets credited to the purchasing order in their Preakness Eventbrite account. By default, ticket and parking credits will be applied toward the same ticketing assignment from the 2020 event to the 2021 Preakness and Black-Eyed Susan events. If 2021 prices increase, individuals transferring their tickets/credits from 2020 to 2021 will NOT be charged the difference in price if the seating manifest remains unchanged from the originally scheduled 2020 events.

For those of you that would prefer to request a full refund on any void tickets, a refund request form must be completedHERE. Individuals will have until Friday, September 25th to submit a refund request form online to be eligible for a refund. Refunds will not be processed until October 2020.

If you purchased tickets from the secondary market or non-authorized ticket vendors:

The Maryland Jockey Club will not issue refunds or offer credits toward 2021 Preakness for fans who purchased tickets for the 2020 Preakness Stakes or any event during 2020 Preakness week, from the secondary market (i.e., a source other than directly from the Maryland Jockey Club or our official ticketing partner, Eventbrite).  We recommend you contact the merchant tickets were purchased from directly. Please be advised that you will be subject to the cancellation policies of such merchant’s respective marketplace.
