BALTIMORE, 04-04-14---The Maryland Jockey Club today announced The Bridge will headline a kickoff concert at Rams Head Live! in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor on Saturday, May 10. The 139th running of the Preakness Stakes (G1), the middle jewel of racing’s Triple Crown, will be held at historic Pimlico Race Course the following Saturday.
One of Baltimore’s most successful bands, The Bridge has released five studio albums and has toured much of the United States and parts of western Europe since 2001. The Bridge concert is one of three musical events during an eight-day stretch surrounding the Preakness experience. Grammy winner Lorde will headline the main stage in the public infield at Preakness InfieldFest (May 17). Blonde Marketing, an independent event management and production company, in conjunction with Rams Head Live!, booked the band. The company has also booked and produced the Jägermeister stage bands and activities since its inception in 2009.
